The largest telecom company, MTN, has seen a record amount of users leave its network between December 2022 and its founding.
The Nigerian Communications Commission states as much in its just released 2022 Subscriber/Network Data Annual Report.
The analysis of Nigeria’s Subscriber and Service Data Porting Trend from May 2013 to December 2022 is presented in this research.
According to the data, out of the four major GSM carriers in the nation, 444,226 MTN subscribers ported to other network providers; in contrast, Airtel, Glo, and EMTS recorded 351,422; 277,527; and 190,724 consumers transferring to other providers, respectively.
The investigation also showed that the largest number of customers porting into EMTS’s network was 676,944 port-ins. AIRTEL came in second with 331,837, MTN came in third with 181,301, and Glo came in fourth with 105,746 port-ins.
