Nigerian travelers may soon see cheaper tickets as a result of the decline in the cost of Jet A1, the fuel that airplanes utilize.
Diesel and aviation fuel prices were further lowered by the Dangote Petroleum Refinery on Tuesday. The new prices per litre are N940 and N980, respectively.
Travel agency executives, airline officials, and frequent travelers are all hoping that this reduction will translate to a possible drop in airfare.
Kingsley Nwokoma, the President of the Association of Foreign Airlines and its Representative in Nigeria, emphasized the role that aviation fuel plays in setting ticket pricing.
Nwokoma emphasized the necessity for a comprehensive approach to comprehending its impact on ticket pricing and mentioned that the reduction may be related to the Dangote refinery’s presence.
